The air is cooled by using cooling water that passes through the tubes of the U-bundle.
The air passes through the shell where, due to pressure drop requirements, a no-tubes-in-window design with side-to-side flow was selected. Robox was able to serve the customer by meeting the requirements regarding pressure drop and installation dimensions.
This is a Shell & Tube heat exchanger. A one-pass shell with U-bundle and removable bonnet header. TEMA type BEU 168 / 900 executed in stainless steel with CuNi 90/10 tubes and muntz metal tube sheet. Designed and built according to PED cat.II/Mod A1 + ASME VIII div.1
