A client in the Botlek area is experiencing capacity issues with a heat exchanger. Following thermal analysis, Robox proposes equipping the tubes with turbulators. This was subsequently implemented.
The turbulators make the flow turbulent, improving heat transfer and reducing fouling. After installation, a performance improvement of 300% was achieved compared to the previous situation.
This concerns a Shell & Tube heat exchanger, equipped with twisted tape turbulators.
