FeaturesThe client aims to utilize formic acid to respond to the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy. To facilitate this, we were involved early on based on our thermal expertise. A reactor vessel was required quickly to test specific processes.

Reactor vessel

The reactor vessel is pressurized during testing to simulate the process with formic acid. Given the pressure and the medium, this concerns a PED cat IV reactor vessel.

The vessel is equipped with a lining mounted on custom-engineered flanges with special couplings. To observe the internal processes during testing, a sight glass is mounted on the top cover.
