A Dutch compressor manufacturer is supplying an air compressor in Indonesia.
Cooling is achieved by means of Air Coolers. In this process, the compressed air is cooled using ambient air. Fins are applied to the tubes to increase the surface area.
Since the pressure is relatively low and it is a widely used application, the end customer expects a compact standard solution, yet there are customer-specific requirements. Because the process is clean, the tubes do not need to be accessible. Combined with the design pressure and temperature, this allows for the use of a compact, integrally welded bonnet construction. Besides being compact, this construction is also cost-efficient.
This concerns two Air Coolers with single-pass high finned (aluminum fins) bundles with integrally welded bonnet type headers, type BHFB 4/4400×1330, entirely in carbon steel according to PED cat.II/Mod A2 and ASME VIII Div.1
