Flare-Gas Unit

ClassificationLiquid/gas coolers. Shell & Tube, floating head with backing ring, inlet channel with removable cover.
FeaturesA fast-track project has been launched for a major international player in oil and gas to realize a flare-gas unit. Our client has been commissioned to undertake this. In these coolers, flare gas and ring liquid water are cooled by means of cooling water.

Flare-Gas Unit

Due to the limited time available, this is a fast-track project. However, as the unit will be commissioned at Pernis, the DEPs must be followed.

The tubes and tubesheets must be SuperDuplex (25% Cr). Furthermore, the project involves sour and very toxic service. Robox has incorporated all these requirements into the design and also achieved a short delivery time.

Both coolers feature a single-pass shell, a removable bundle with a floating head and backing-ring construction, and a removable channel with a removable cover. TEMA types AES. Tubes and tubesheets in SuperDuplex, shells and covers in stainless steel, designed and built according to PED Cat.IV/Mod.G, ASME VIII Div.1 and TEMA R, NACE MR 0175, and SHELL DEPs.
